(Apr 24, 2019)
(April 24, 2019) – The St. Louis Blues, McBride Homes, and KSDK today announced the winner for the Blues for Kids Home For Education Raffle.
Adbulla Y. of Missouri was drawn as the raffle winner out of thousands of entries.
The prize is a McBride Homes’ “Berwick” model, a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home valued at $250,000 and located in the Cobblestone Crossing community in O’Fallon, MO.
The St. Louis Blues, McBride Homes, and KSDK launched the Blues for Kids Home For Education Raffle in February and ended the promotion after the first round of the NHL playoffs.
“We are delighted with the amount of people that registered to win and helped support schoolchildren in underserved areas of St. Louis,” said John F. Eilermann, CEO and Chairman of McBride Homes. “We were honored to be a part of this amazing opportunity and to donate one of our beautiful homes to the Blues for Kids Foundation. On behalf of McBride Homes, we congratulate Adbulla Y. and wish him well with his new McBride home!”
Proceeds from the raffle will be divided across four St. Louis School Districts, including Ferguson (Florissant R-II School District), Normandy Schools Collaborative, Riverview Gardens School District and St. Louis Public Schools. Overall, the funds will provide additional educational opportunities for more than 40,000 St. Louis students.
“Giving back to the community is of the highest priority for the Blues each year.” said Chris Zimmerman, St. Louis Blues President and CEO of Business Operations. “It is always exciting collaborating with local companies like McBride Homes and KSDK, who share the same passion for our city and providing the best opportunities for St. Louis’ youth.”
Eilermann added, “We love the enthusiasm and engagement shown by the Blues fans of St. Louis towards this Blues for Kids Foundation raffle. We thank St. Louisans for their support during this amazing promotion.”
