McBride Homes Closes on New Development in The Hill Neighborhood: New Single Fam

McBride Homes, Missouri’s largest home builder, has closed on a new development located in The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis City. 

The property is located off Bischoff Avenue and Hereford Street. 

“We are happy to announce that we are bringing new construction of single family homes to The Hill,” said John F. Eilermann Jr., CEO and Chairman of McBride Homes. “We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting development with the pent-up demand in the area.”

The new McBride community, La Collina, will include 58 single family homes. 

The community will offer a new top-of-the-line single family home product with brick fronts reminiscent of The Hill’s traditional neighborhood streetscape. Pricing will begin from the upper $200’s to low $300’s.

Construction is slated to start immediately, with display homes and an onsite sales office set to open in early Spring 2020. 

The total development cost is estimated at $27 million. 

“Our phones are already ringing off the hook and we are adding more people to the waiting list every day,” stated Eilermann. “A prime Hill location and single family homes with great value make this community one buyers won’t want to miss.”

The last large market rate single family housing development in the City of St. Louis by McBride Homes was Botanical Heights, which included 175 homes and finished development in 2007.   

McBride Homes is partnering with the site developer, Draper and Kramer, to develop the site. McBride is taking the lead on the single family homes, while Draper and Kramer is developing an apartment complex on the adjacent property. Mark Kornfeld and Grant Mechlin of Sansone Group represented both buyer and seller in the transaction.
