Leading Builders join forces with Unions
(Feb 1, 2020)
ST. LOUIS, MO (February, 2020) – Three of St. Louis’ premier home builders have brought back their Union incentive program for the eleventh year, which focuses on putting people back to work and giving consumers a great deal.
The promotion is called The Neighborhoods Built by Your Neighbors Program. It is a fund created by a consortium of local St. Louis Unions to help new home ownership in St. Louis.
The focus of this campaign is to be able to offer quality construction, affordability and create livability throughout the St. Louis area. This Union Stimulus Program has been impacting lives one family home at a time, for the 11th year in a row.
Partnership members are McBride Homes, Fischer & Frichtel, and McKelvey Homes.
“We are lucky to have such quality construction and craftsmanship through our local unions,” said John F. Eilermann Jr., CEO and Chairman of the Board of McBride Homes. “This program is a great opportunity to not only earn a great deal on a new home, but to create jobs and support union workers and their families.”
The program, which runs through February or until funds expire, showcases the unique and progressive relationship between St. Louis area unions and private homebuilders. In fact, it's the only promotion of its kind in the United States.
“It’s real cash for use at closing and it’s in addition to St. Louis Union Homebuilding Partnership Builder’s best deal,” stated Jim Brennan, owner of McKelvey Homes. “It’s really an amazing deal for buyers.”
Eight local unions are contributing to the fund with cash amounts that range from $2,000 to $10,000 based on the sales price of the home.
“This program is about neighbors coming together to make a difference,” stated John Fischer of Fischer & Frichtel Homes. “That fact is when Union trades people are working, they are buying other goods and services and the economy grows.”
Certificates will be distributed on a first come basis. The Union contributions are based upon man hours by trade on an average St. Louis home.
Eilermann agreed, “It is a great testament to the ‘can do’ spirit in St. Louis homebuilding. We are excited to be one of the three local builders that get to offer this special program to our buyers.”
The Neighborhoods Built by Your Neighbors Program is exclusive to Partnership members, limited to Missouri communities and runs only during February 2020 or until funds expire.
Participating unions include: St. Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1, Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, Operating Engineers Local 513, Greater St. Louis Construction Laborers, Painters District Council 58 and Cement Mason’s Local 527.
