McBride’s Crestwood Community Sells 52 Homes during Grand Opening

McBride Homes, Missouri’s largest home builder, celebrated one of their most successful grand openings to date when it opened its doors to their newest Crestwood community this past weekend to crowds lined up outside waiting to purchase their dream home.
The community, Crestwood Crossing, was scheduled to open on August 27th, but due to the pent up demand and inability to host campers onsite, McBride quickly decided to hold the grand opening days in advance.
“Families were starting to camp out several days in advance of the scheduled grand opening,” said John F. Eilermann, CEO and Chairman of McBride Homes. “Once our first camper arrived and word got out, more and more folks continued to join the fun so we opened early to accommodate the crowds.”
Out of the 81 available homesites, 52 homes were sold during the grand opening weekend.
With the last minute scramble to handle the vast amount of campers in line, McBride called in multiple sales consultants throughout the metro area to help with the overflow of interested parties.
“We had over 250 appointments scheduled for the Crestwood prospects,” said Eilermann. “We knew this was going to be a hit since we had over 800 names on the interest list, but we haven’t seen anything like this demand in years.”
The property is located off Watson Road, just east of Sappington Road, at the old Crestwood Mall site.
Crestwood Crossing will include 81 single family homes with pricing from the $340’s to $600’s. The community will offer 34 homes from McBride’s Bayside Series, 16 from their Oakwood Series, and 31 city-style homes that were featured at La Collina, McBride’s recent neighborhood development on The Hill.
“Selling 52 homes at Crestwood Crossing on the grand opening weekend is a testament not only to our outstanding sales team, but also to our land development team,” said Eilermann. “The ability to continue to deliver high quality affordable communities in the best locations in town is a big part of our success.”
Crestwood Crossing will feature many onsite amenities for the future homeowners. The residential and commercial uses within the project will be connected by sidewalks and trails. Plans for the project includes numerous public gathering spaces, outdoor restaurant seating, and a public plaza space with a water feature. In addition, the residential neighborhood will incorporate a connection to Grant’s Trail.
“We worked closely with the City to create a comprehensive neighborhood development plan,” said Eilermann. “One of our main goals in this project is to support existing Crestwood shops and local franchises, while bringing exciting new retail outlets including a world-class Dierbergs Market. We can’t wait to see this area come to life”
