Fenton Area Community Now Included in Guffey Elementary Boundary
Fenton Area - Jefferson County, MO (Jan 2, 2020)
McBride Homes’ Fenton area community Valley at Winding Bluffs has now been added to the Guffey Elementary School boundary, previously included in the Meramec Heights Elementary School boundary.
The Valley at Winding Bluffs is in a great Fenton area location, being built on both sides of Saline road, just minutes from Gravois Bluffs.
McBride is developing the subdivision, and contacted Fox officials to ask for the change to the district’s map. The Fox Board of Education voted unanimously to allow this change.
No current students will be affected by this change.
According to the Leader Publication, “Guffey has 472 students this school year, and Meramec Heights has 582 students, said JP Prezzavento, Fox’s communications and instructional technology coordinator. Guffey could actually use a few more student bodies,” he said. “(Meramec Heights) is pretty full. They are basically at capacity.”
The Valley at Winding Bluffs is a 143-acre community of 182 single family homesites. With seven different floor plans to choose from, new home pricing starts from the low $200’s. The homes are surrounded by 47 acres of common ground, rolling hills, and lush trees. The Valley at Winding Bluffs also features a beautiful creek onsite, and much more.
“We’re very excited for our new homeowners to be able to send their children to this prestigious elementary school. Our Manors and Estates at Winding Bluffs communities have found great success right next door to Guffey Elementary,” said John F. Eilermann Jr., CEO and Chairman of the Board at McBride Homes. “The Valley at Winding Bluffs is sure to see similar success.”
McBride also offered to provide a new playground at Guffey Elementary in exchange for the school district adjustment, something the school was very in need of due to recent flooding.
To visit the Valley at Winding Bluffs, take South 141, to Romaine Creek Road, then to Saline Road. The community is open daily with a new display home in the process of being built.
