McBride’s Newest Manchester Community Sells 75% of Homes during Grand Opening
September 29, 2021
McBride Homes, Missouri’s largest home builder, celebrated one of their most successful grand openings to date when it opened its doors to their newest Manchester community in September to crowds lined up outside waiting to purchase their dream home.
The community, The Arbors at The Highlands, was scheduled to open on September 25th, but due to the pent up demand and inability to host campers onsite, McBride quickly decided to hold the grand opening a week in advance on September 18th.
“Families were starting to camp out ten days in advance of the scheduled grand opening,” said John F. Eilermann, CEO and Chairman of McBride Homes. “Once our first camper arrived word got out, more and more folks continued to join the fun so we had to open a week early to accommodate the crowds.”
Out of the 60 available homesites, 39 homes were sold during the grand opening weekend.
With the last minute scramble to handle the vast amount of campers in line, McBride converted multiple sales offices throughout the metro area to help with the overflow of interested parties.
“We had over 200 appointments scheduled for the Highlands prospects,” said Eilermann. “We knew this was going to be a hit since we had over 400 names on the interest list, but we haven’t seen anything like this demand in years.”
In the past week, McBride has sold another 7 homes, bringing the grand total to 46 homes sold in less than 2 weeks at The Arbors at The Highlands.
McBride also recently celebrated the huge success of another West County community, The Arbors at Bridle Path. This 40 homesite community, located off Ries Road and adjacent Castlewood State Park, sold 10 homesites during its grand opening weekend in August.
“Selling 75% of The Highlands homesites during the grand opening and 25% at Bridle Path is a testament not only to our outstanding sales team, but also to our land development team,” said Eilermann. “The ability to continue to deliver high quality affordable communities in the best locations in town is a big part of our success.”
The Arbors at the Highlands is located off Highlands Boulevard near the intersection of Highway 141 and Manchester Road. Pricing ranges from the $440’s to the $700’s. The community consists of 60 single family homes and will include cul-de-sac streets, with many homesites backing to trees and common ground.
“The Arbors of Highlands has preserved the property’s natural features, while bringing new and modern housing to the City of Manchester,” said Eilermann. “With this location adjacent to the Highlands Shopping Center and the incredible value of Manchester homes from the $440’s, the remaining homesites will not last long.”
The Arbors at The Highlands will feature McBride Homes’ “Oakwood Series” featuring 6 various floorplans. The neighborhood also offers two villages: The Estates from the $430’s and The Enclave from the $470’s, which will feature the same floorplans, but all homesites will include a three car garage.
“We are creating something special at The Arbors at The Highlands, combining beautiful homesites and surrounding scenery with some fantastic floorplans,” stated Eilermann. “But most importantly, we wanted to bring incredible value to the area with new home construction to meet the pent-up demand.”
The Arbors at The Highlands, located off Highlands Boulevard adjacent to Costco and Walmart, is just minutes from Highway 141, Manchester Road, Hwy 40, and I-270, plus it’s located in the AAA-rated Parkway School District.
